not from a pigeon background i started in pigeons in 2005 when a storm disturbed some tiles on my roof. the roofer who put them back kept pigeons and showed me them when i went round to pay him. i was 'hooked'. broke my 'novice' in 2007 and won my club's english avs in 2008. now specialising in the nrcc 250-450 mile races.in 2010 i won our clubs scottish avs ,2 nrcc section cards and won a norwich nrcc english race for the first time. i was the first outsider to join the then new club of holt rpc and was press secretary...my 'press name' was 'spin cycle'....a play on words..from the 'spinning of information' and the fact my clubmates talked of our birds 'having to do the wash' ( the estuary to our north).
