3rd of July 1937 Rennes. The strings were cut at 7am liberating 4119 birds that called Scotland their home. With a South wind it was expected to be fast one, just how fast no one knew. That question was answered North of the Eden just after 4 O'clock as Annan's Johnny Kirkpatrick timed his chequer cock-"Coronation Expess" to become the fastest Kings Cup Winner in the History of the SNFC.Velocity-1559,a record that stood for 30 years.
