Was talking to an 'Eye Specialist - human, when I had a check up regards my eyes.
Of course I ased him his views
Was suprised when he stated that besides being the 'Miror of the soul / health, many chinese eye specialist can tell a lot more regards the eye. Temprement, linage and much more. He wouldn't comment regards what some believe regards our 'Eyesign' theories, except to say 'He wouldn't rule it out'.  But was skeptical as to ability and powess.

Eyesign! it is still a waste of time and a load of old crap. Nothing has changed. Why not use the foot theory to select your birds. The first feet that hit the landing board are owned by the best racers. The best racers are the most likely to produce more best racers.

Sorry dwh I did get carried away a bit there. Perhaps I would be better sticking to my genetics rubbish and letting the eyesign delusionists get on with their flights of fancy. What do you think?

dhw, and you worked all this out from looking into the pigeons eye? Just think how much more you could learn if you looked up it's  bum. I must make sure I keep my shades on when you are about. And I will definately not bend down. ;)

I know absolutly nothing about the eye sign theory but i would really think twice before knocking it!!!  i think Jack Barkels birds results speak for themselves both in the UK and in SA.  Wouldnt mind comparing his results based on eye sign to the results of all those knocking it.  just  a thought

Craig05, like a lot of other people I got interested in eyesign years ago. I still have the original book on it. It was writtten by
SWE Bishop. I spoke to human eye specialists and studied the eyes of winners and loosers.

Owen, i cant coment too much on eyesign, because like i said earlier, i know very little about it.  What i do know is that Jack Barkel has walked into top fanciers lofts in SA and out of a loft of 50 or 60 birds, has picked out the combine and fed winners just based on eyesign??  Then also picked out the breeders of these winners in the stock loft.  Luck i would say if he hadnt done it on more than one occasion including the loft of a very good friend of mine.  i just dont understand how people are knocking a theory that has worked very very well for him.....

I want to believe i reilly do, but those who trumpet eyesign know as littl as those who deride it.A famous eyesign man who has and continues to sell loads of eyesign dvds, couldnt recognise a bird had an infectious cattaract. It was blind.Another famed eyesign therist was found out looking at the ring while handling a test pigeon.I can catagorically state some chickens have better eyesign than some of the pictures on these threads.I have nothing against anyone however i till someone is able to say this in an eye causes that or that in an eye means the bird will be able to do XYZ.I will regard it as an unproven theory.
